about the artists:

Moljebka Pvlse
An experimental music group from Stockholm, Sweden. The group works with both electronic and acoustic instruments, as well as with field recordings and found sounds. The music is often dark and haunting, consisting of minimal soundscapes built by layered drones. At times, there has been touches of noise and even pop.
The main man of Moljebka Pvlse is Mathias Josefson. He is currently attending the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm, where he focuses on sound-art. With Moljebka Pvlse he has collaborated with several other sound artists such as Kotra from the Ukraine and Horologium from Poland. For the past few years, Mathias has on many occasions extended Moljebka Pvlse to be a duo both on stage and record with the help of Karin Jacobson. Karin is a singer and percussionist of the band Les Issambres and part of the art-dou Projekt Kameleontkyss. She has also performed in many theatre shows.
Over the years, Moljebka Pvlse has released nine full length albums on many different labels, for example Some Place Else, Fifth Week Records, Mystery Sea, Cold Meat Industry, Fin De Siècle Media and Segerhuva. Mathias also has an artist-run label called Isoramara, where he releases limited editions in handmade covers. Performing live is of great importance, and to this date Moljebka Pvlse has performed live in Canada, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Sweden, the Ukraine and the USA.

SEVENTEEN MIGS OF SPRING
Seventeen Migs of Spring were formed in 1999 in Tel Aviv as an experimental electronics enterprise by two friends a.ka K-76 & B-74. four years later the group has set it's current form as a trio with an additional member, gurfa. so far they released a number of self made cdrs at their own label , zvukoprocessor, and a number of compilation tracks on other labels. they are mainly known in Israel as a live group, and had performed in different festivals and events around the world. SEVENTEEN MIGS OF SPRING is a mixture of different, often conflicting cultural, philosophic and musical influences. It is hard to categorize and label since it always varies from release to release. Always evolving.

Topheth prophet is proud to announce 2 new releases!

the debut album of the Israeli noise ensamble lietterschpich
the eight-piece group of Lietterschpich (Hebrew for liter of cum) has been boiling down foul language, obscene noise, primitive rituals and perplexing visual propaganda to their imitating core, since 2004. Comprised of local veterans of the Israeli post-punk, industrial and electronica scenes, they quickly gained cult status in the Israeli underground. They've released "Quasi" A 3" black cdr in 2005, before calling it a night and taking a year break. They will be back soon to hostile the cultivated majority that got away last time.

1000 copies.

a new limited cdr by grundik kasyansky
Grundik is a long time member of the Israeli underground. he is half of the duo Grundik+Slava and for the last few years have released a number of solo works around the world.
For the last couple of years he concentrates in live performance on "feedback synthesizer" - sort of analog synthesizer oscillated by means of controlled feedback instead of VCO. This set up provides him with challenge, insecurity, ugliness and all other necessary tools in his search for the peace of mind and beauty.
floating point is an audio collage based on three works written for dance : floating point - forest (CAVEnsamble), a little by the sea (CAVEnsamble) and tinshamot (Deganit Shemy company).

100 copies cdr.

after too many delays (since march...) Topheth Propeht is delighted to announce the release of this amazing musical piece by Igor Krutogolov who is not just a great musician but also the in house designer for topheth prophet.

Igor Krutogolov is mostly known for his klezmer core project 'kruzenshtern & parohod' and toy orchestra 'Igor Krutogolov's Karate Band' but also for his collaborations with chaos as shelter , agnivolok , bastard noise , tidal , darkwood and others.

'White' is a seven piece composition that can be compered to the works of such as Andrew Liles or Colin Potter. among the instruments used for this album are bass with bow , strings , objects flute , keyboards , birds and human voices. the result is a rich , fascinating yet ambiguous soundscape as expected of that unique artist.

it is the second joint release between topheth prophet auris media labels and with such results I truely hope it is not the last one.

1000 digipac copies.

a new release by two prolific artists , maurizio bianchi , one of the forefathers of industrial music , a major influence to a whole generation of musicians maor appelbaum - an experimental and adventurous musical composer. member of underground Israeli projects poochlatz , vultures , IWR and his solo projects screening , vectorscope and plated steel.

TP005 Chaos As Shelter – Dawn Syndrome

Release Date : September 2005

After releasing over 18 releases since 1999, Chaos As Shelter needs no further introductions. His latest work, dawn syndrome, was recorded in 2001 and is dedicated to the end of Kali Yuga, the age of iron, which is the final and most negative of four evolutionary Yugic cycles, the end of the world, and the dawn of a new golden age - Sataya Yuga (the age of purity).

Dawn Syndrome is an eight-track composition of ritual dark ambient crafted in the skillful way Chaos as Shelter is known for. The usage of organic and artificial sound sources which has been his trademark. It is a hymn of submersion and rebirth, of confusion, ambiguity and enigma, of the darkest moment before sunrise.

Dawn Syndrome was recorded at new jerusalem studios and Chaos As Shelter was supported by Vera Agnivolok , Helena Dorsht and an accidentally obtained presto home recorded vinyl disc.

TP004 Grundik + Slava – Frogs

Release Date : March 2005

A joint release between Topheth prophet and Auris media

“The Frogs” is our most recent project. It is the second installment in the “Fauna” series coming step after “…for electronics and birds” (Stateart). As it says in the title this album is dedicated to the frogs and represent our collaboration with singer Victoria Hanna.

We met Victoria, amazing vocal artist from Jerusalem, a couple of years ago and from the very first time it was obvious for us that we’ll do something together. We played several concerts of chants vs. electronics in Israel and USA. One day Victoria sent us a tape with her vocal improvisations that she has recorded using some of our casual live recordings as a playback. She wrote: “Do with that what ever you want”. So we did.

We decided to create a totally new piece from this material. We used a lot of different techniques: from field environmental recordings to live electronics, from electroacoustics to pure synthesizer music, from free noise improvisation to endless drones. There were no compositional or conceptual limits except one thing: we tried to reconstruct that amazing feeling of infinite astonishment that probably Tutuola’s palm-wine drinkard felt traveling to the town of ghosts. Something we felt every time we got together with Victoria and started to produce sounds.

In the same time one can consider album as an audio book about The Frogs, their friends – the forest and the clouds, their women, their fears and their feats.

We would also like to mention and greatly thank our other collaborators:

Vadim Gusis aka Chaos As Shelter and Igor Krutogolov aka Igor18.
